Exclamation Dangerous Toy for CAG

This has been my grey's favorite toy for the last 4 months. Last night he somehow got his head completely through the opening and could not get it out! I never dreamed he would be able to get his head through the opening.

He almost hung himself. Somehow I managed to get him out of it through his panic, screaming and wing flapping and my adrenaline pumping. DO NOT hang this toy in a cag cage.
He's fine and back to being his little acrobat self but I'm thanking all Gods that I was home when it happened!

Wow, what a scary thing to happen. I'm glad everyone's okay.. we don't have that toy, but now I'm taking another look at all the toys in Luke's cage.

Glad he's okay. It's very scary finding your babies in distress - especially when you are not sure how long they have been in that situation. All you want to do afterward is cuddle them all night.

As fas as openings in toys goes. Two rules to follow. The head won't fit. If the head does fit. Make sure the whole body fits.

Wise words Mike.
I always make sure it is way too big for even the whole body to get stuck in. I have had a couple of those OMG moments when I was so thankful I was there to see what was going on. I now keep a much closer eye on things and I pay closer attention even to a toy that has been in the cage for a while to see how wear and tear is affecting it.

Thank goodness you were there for your baby in his time of need. Thanks for the heads up, I checked all the toys recently for anything frayed so they wouldnt get their nails stuck and feet tangled, hadnt thought about hole openings.

I'm so glad your baby is ok. Inever thought of openings either. I will definitely start though. Great advice, too, Mike. Thanks for letting us know.
