The Friday evening visit

Went down to visit that WCP earlier.

Oh boy was it every noisy tonight!
I think it was due to the large number of kids that were in the store. Every time more than 2 kids were around us, the WCP would start squawkin up a storm.
I could get it to calm down fairly easy by talkin softly to it and letting it cuddle against my neck or cheek. It thanked me by preening the side of my beard.

While it was preenin me, 3 possible names popped into my mind....
Of course, it depends on what sex it is.

Before any of ya ask: No I didn't put the deposit on it - yet. We're going to back down tomorrow anyway & try to talk to the manager (if possible).

I noticed there was only one BFA in the big cage. When I went to the back, I found out why. The manager had swapped birds with one of the other stores- a BFA for young Military Macaw.

Here's 3 shots of the gorgeous little Mil.
Just lookin at it, I can tell it's a pretty smart little Fid.
Look at the picks and see if my comments don't fit the look on it's face....

Pic 1) "Cool!! There's someone finally looking at me."

Pic 2) "Pick me up!!!Pick me up!!!Pick me up!!! LOVE ME!!!!."

Pic 3) "What?? Didn't you hear me? Gee, and I asked as loud as I could!"

Oh Yes.
I have a very sensitive nose, so I had no trouble detecting that odor.
But then, I've owned an unfixed, un-descented male ferret, so to be honest Pi scent is nothing!
((I actually kinda like it. To me, it's somewhere between dog & ferret.))

They had just got the Military in and hadn't priced it yet, but I'm sure it's way outta our price range.
I agree with all, young Macaws are adorable. I've been playin with the pair of Hahn's when we've been there.
LOL! I think they kinda like us too as they both climb all over any part of us that they can reach. The one loves to sit on my shoulder & preen at my hair, be it on my head, my beard, mustache or even my eyebrows.

*Sigh* I know I can't have every bird that falls for me.
