My hubby has blowdried one fid a few times but I just let her sit her perch in the bathroom after the shower with the extra space heater on and the heat register open. It gets cozy warm and she sits and preens herself dry. CLOSE THE TOILET PLEASE! LOL, I go in and check on her from time to time till she is dry and looks bord.

As Birdlady had suggested, I always just keep them in a warm room to dry naturally. I'd rather not fool with a blow dryer because I fear it getting too hot on certain spots. Although, many people use them without a problem. I just have not ever been comfortable using them and my fids don't care for them much either.
When using a blow dryer, it's important to make sure that none of the heating parts of made of teflon or any other non-stick materials.
