Hey there SQ,
Yes conures can talk! Getting your conure can talk, can be as simple as repetaing a phrase to him several times in a day, or repeating a word to him everytime he does something or every time you do something. Pick an easy phrase or word, such as "hello" and repeat it to your little guy several several several times per day. I'm sure you'll be suprised on what your little Sun Conure may catch on to. Just remember to love your conure for who he is, and his personality. Not what you want him to be able to do.

I had 2 Nanday Conure's when I was a child. I used to go in to my room and let them out & talk to them everyday after school. They built up a vocabulary of about 20 words that I can remember.. they also said a few sentences one being "I love you". But mostly they Squawked all the time. But that was normal for the Nanday I read, they are the loudest of the Conure's. :D
Your bird will probably start talking in time.. it just takes a lot of patience & persistence on your part. |
