Learnin to wear a Flight Suit

I got a Flightsuit & Lanyard (the Rainbow colored version) for Halo, who is doing better BTW (no more bubbling nares & almost no sneezes.)

First time I tried the suit on him, he wasn't too pleased about putting it on & he was pickin at it pretty good while wearing it.
Yesterday Halo still wasn't too happy about putting it on, but he was much better about wearing it.
He didn't pick at it very much at all.
Today he was again not too keen about putting it on, but once it was on, he settled down very, very quickly.

You can see by the pics that he really is getting used to the suit.....
and to his carrier.
He actually jumped down off Judy's hand to go into his carrier.

LOL!!! It looks like he's all ready to come home with us!
((We still have to wait for the antibiotic treatment to be finshed & for him to realize he doesn't need to be fed by syringe anymore, then he can really come home.))

Ya can't ask for more convincing proof of the bird's level of comfort than seeing it taking a short little snooze.

Halo is just the sweetest looking bird! He will eventually get used to the flight suit, just keep trying. They never like putting it on, but they will accept wearing it.

Great pictures!! We've been working with the flightsuits on Cosmo and Zoey. It's been about 3 weeks - and they both still HATE having it put on - but once it is they really don't seem to mind it anymore. Todays suppossed to be nice, weather wise, so I'll probably take them outside for the first time and see how they do.
