Digital Scales

I realized yesterday that as the owner of 2 birds (well soon to be 2), there was something I should have, but was still missing,
So I went looking for a digital scale.
Not very easy to find.

What scales do you folks use???

Ended up going to Staples™ and getting a Pelouze™ Model SP5 Electronic Postal scale.
5lb/2.2kg Capacity
0.1/1g Increments
9V operation.

According to it:
Petey is 36 grams (which is what our Vets scale said when we'd taken him there).
Halo is 181 grams.

Adult Pi's are usually about 240-280g (??? but I'm not sure about WCP'
s in specific.) So Halo's got another potential 100g to put on yet. I intend to keep track of the bird's weights weekly.
Considering his DOH was July 3, I think Halo is doing very well.

That's the one I use. I drilled a hole through the plate and added a wood perch for them to stand on. Works fine for our macaws.

I just got a scale from Target.... I need to get a perch together for it. But, for now, I just stand them on the scale and they do just fine!

I got the Exact Same scale from Office Depot, about $38
It is very easy to use, I like the Tare Feature, I made a small Tee-stand
out of Wood Closet Rod and Mounted it to a Small Thin piece of Plywood,
about 5 inches sguare. it weighs about 200 grams, I just set it on the scale, use the tare function, and my Bird will sit there
for ever.

I need to go there. I got one from walmart but its not digital, they didn't have em. It said Romeo was 275g but I want to make sure it was right cause he's still hand feeding. Crystal

I just did a Google search for avian scales and found this one...
Not too expensive and comes with the T-Stand and a bowl.

I'm a big fan of online shopping and having it mailed to me!

Mine's not digital, it's just a basic kitchen gram scale designer for dieters to weigh food portions. Since I have small birds, it works for me. Maybe I can adapt it for a perch instead of a bowl.

I got my scale from Office max. It cost about $30. Office Max, Staples, those kind of places have good ones for a good price.
