The first pic of Artemis - My new Alex.

Hey there guys,

I have not been on for a while sp hello to you all.

Well Artemis was hatched about three weeks ago. He was left with the parents for three weeks and then pulled and here is the first photo of him and his brothers and sisters that the breeder sent me a few days ago.

We decided to call him Artemis as that is what the kids wanted and when I looked the name up on the net it means in Greek The daughter of Leto and Zeus, and the twin of Apollo. Artemis is the goddess of the wilderness, the hunt and wild animals and fertilit. So it is actually a female name but Artemis sounds fine for a guy I reckon.

anyway here he is. He is the large one on the right hand side. not the one in the middle or the left or bottom but the right

You would have to DNA to be 100% till the neck ring starts coming in (approx. 18 months or a little more - Kirby was almost 2 before he got his first pink feather). I know I have heard some breeders that have been raising alex's for a long time get pretty good at guessing the sex and are right a good % of the time - but if you REALLY wanted to be sure - DNA would be the way to go.
