Smile After some advice Please

Hi all...
I am looking at getting a baby H/R Male Alexandrine...
I want a male and im not sure if u can tell the difference from a female to a male at such a younge age... Do i need a DNA certificate for this? Or will i be able to tell the difference.. And any other advice you have for me would be great! As i have only owned Lorikeets.
Cheers aussie_Girl

I answered your ? in kikibird's post about her new alex. But also thought I would mention there is a great group on yahoo devoted to alexandrine owners - http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/alexandrines/ (hope it's okay to post links to things like that - sorry if it's not!)

Hi - you need a DNA certificate unless you want to wait until your baby is about 18 months old.

Aww...you're getting my dream bird! Once I got my Prinny (the IRN) I saw an Alex at one of the bird shops...to me it's a larger IRN so I fell in love. Maybe that'll be my next one...
