Harness V.S. Flightsuit

Hi,

Well I thought I would get everyones opinions/experiences. I am considering getting Triton a harness or flightsuit. I am pretty sure anything I get him he will let me put is on him but once its on hes is going to put holes in it!!! LOL!! So I was just wondering what the pros and cons are of each???

Most of the people I've talked to liked the suit better. Mine arrived yesterday in the mail. I finally got Romeo to put his on today. He didn't mind it at all. Now I just gotta get to like the grass. Crystal

I use the aviator harness with my timneh, but I'm not sure how your too will take to it. My timneh is still young and getting used to it. I had her out in it today and she left it alone instead of chewing at it.

Thank you Crystal. I'm pretty partial to both of them. That's Gabriel(3 y/o B/G macaw) and my Hubby Ricky of 26 years.

I am fascinated by the mini macaws as I seem to be better able to handle the smaller birds.(My greys are my hearts). But alas, we have no more room at the inn. lol The B/G's are most definately Hubby's birds and he can do just about anything with them.

My vote is definitely for the aviator harness. I have both the harness and the flightsuit. I never even got the flightsuit within a foot of Ollie- and she is usually not scared of anything!

I also have the aviator harness and it worked really great for awhile. I bought the one sized for BG macaws but Mojo seems to have outgrown it.

The part that slips over her head is now just BARELY big enough to slip over her head and I usually get nipped in the hand now when I try to put it on ( which is only to take her to the vet).

I've been meaning to get another one because when Mojo's head was smaller I would take her out at least once a week to the beach or park or just outside and have her fly over me as I ran as fast as I could to keep up with her. Eventually she would go faster than me and a small tug would bring her back down for a gentle landing to the ground.

Does anyone have a link to the site that sells them?

Oh yea, Mojo does like to chew parts of it ( like the part you wrap around your wrist) but she hasn't been able to do enough damage to break it yet.
