the Twisted Atom!

well here it is folks. I did the DIY thing in that section. These are basic. No toys added to them yet. It sure was fun building them. The bigger one is for Sophie and the others are for Zoey and Benji. It will be huge for Benji but the young man does like his space.

Now Jim, that is just too cool! Did you heat and twist PVC for this or is that something different. Inquiring minds and all. If it's PVC what did you use to heat it with without changing the color? I'm impressed!

WOW!! They're awesome Jim! I too am curious as to how you bent the PVC. Was it very hard?

Looks like the dreaded heat gun in the background. Good work Jim.

I want to know how you did that too! They're very cool!

I just bought hula hoops to make "atoms" for mine. But I've got some extra PVC around too, so maybe if you'll spill the beans I'll have Steve make them some "twisted" ones, too!

You can use a heat gun and vice grips or large pliers to bend the pipe once its sofened.

Very cool looking! How have the birds reacted to it? Are they able to get around on it well? I would think twisting it would help with it being so slick, but it still looks like it may be difficult for them to climb up it very well. Vetrap would be really hard to wrap around that!
