I think all birds have different likes/dislikes when it comes to food just like we do. Although I have to say - none of mine seem to really care for berries either. A few of them will eat bananas. I've always heard veggies are much better for them than fruit though - so I don't worry about it too much. Some birds take awhile to warm up to new foods too - so though they might dislike something today - you might offer it next week and they'll decide it's their favorite thing!

None of my birds will touch any frozen fruit. They all like fresh fruits and berries in season, however. It may be because of how it was served.

What Stephanie said! Sometimes it takes a while. I think natural parrot behavior calls for lots of food throwing any way, even if it's something they like. I feed a little banana in the morning, and small pieces of apple for treats and that's about it for fruit. They're mostly sugar and water.

My sun is 9 years old. I've had him since he was 1 1/2. He doesn't really like berries either. He loves bananas and grapes. I also put a little peanut butter on his banana. He LOVES that! He also likes applesauce, watermelon, cantaloupe, and apples. He's not huge on veggies, but we STILL keep trying. He will usually try something if we are eating it. All birds are different. My cockatoo will only eat grapes and apples -- no other fruit. Again, keep trying different things. You'll figure out what he likes. Believe me -- it's an on-going process! Good luck!! Pam

My Sun is 1 yr & she don't like them either. I've tried several didn't kinds. If I'm eating them she will taste them but thats about it. SHe also like to make them go flying everywhere. Especially the ones that stain things. Crystal

My cockatiels won't touch most fresh fruit, but they LOVE freeze-dried berries. In fact they love just about anything that's freeze-dried, but the berries and corn are their absolute favorites. You may be able to find them at a local natural foods store, and if not then the company's homepage is at http://justtomatoes.com/
