Happy Noises

Whenever I give Baby something he loves, such as scrambled eggs, as I just did...he makes these noises of pure ecstacy. I call them his happy noises.

He loves his eggs. **she says as she dodges bits of flying egg**

That is so cute! I love when my animals look/sound happy. Brings me such joy!

My CAG Tuki just started something so cute...
when he does a big stretch...leg out under one wing, then the other and then both wings...he makes a little squeeky noise...
just like when I yawn, stretch and make a little noise!!

They are something, aren't they. I had no idea birds could be so.......can't even think of the word....lol

Baby & I have been sitting here talking for about an hour, and I finally understood something he said....he said..."I'm a good boy", now we're working on "stinker" lol. I feel like a parent when thier child says it's first words...LOL

So cute about Tuki making stretching noises....lol...when Baby does that I usually say...aahhhhhh good stretch.

Oh and .... he's starting to do that regurgitate thing which I've heard is a good thing.....

I love the little happy noises! I've had other people compare my macaw's happy sounds to "a purr - with wings!" Those sweet little noises are one of the most delightful things about sharing our lives with her!

Chaska has her unmistakeable happy noises-kind of like a little trill-chirp. She also has unmistakeable unhappy noises-a very loud squawk. I hear this if she catches me kissing another bird!

The happy noises are the best. I love to watch and listen to Quito when she's preening and talking softly to herself just before bed time. It's such a mellow, contented scene as she clucks, chatters and squeaks, fluffing herself up as she preens away.

Then Tausi will do something (on purpose I'm sure) to wind her up, and the spell is broken. Off they'll go on mutual squawking sprees, trying to outdo each other while killing toys.

I guess they all do it - the happy sounds are great to listen to - & the 'angel wings' we get before the stretching is sweet too. We heard a lot of 'ARk ark ark' too which isn't too melodic but full of energy.

But left in the cage too long & lots of unhappy sounds - very hard to ignore so we run to his side & cat or no we let him out. Of course we're as safe as we can be - just let the bird out or else!
