I'm in shock - Heartbreaking news

I feel like an absolutely idiot!!!!
After my elation of talking to the Vet and his thoughts that Halo's troubles were a food related allergy...
There was obviously something else going with the poor sweet bird.....

I just got off the phone with manager of the pet store......

Halo passed away last night.

And my daughter is gonna be comin home from school in an hour...
don't know how I'm gonna tell her....
I'm at a complete loss....
Can't even think right now.....

What a way to start the weekend.

Rest in Peace little Halo.......
you will be greatly missed.

I am so sorry for your loss. Are you going to preform a necropsy?

The manager said that the Vet had arrived to do a checkup on Halo about 10 mins before they opened, but Halo was already dead. I think the manager also said the Vet had taken the body back to the practice with him to investigate.

Good, know it is hard to think of things like that during times of loss and sadness, but it is really important.

Again, I am so sorry. I hope your daughter does okay.

I am truly saddened at your loss, and your family will be in my prayers, especially your daughter. If it helps, depending on the age of your child, you may find that she takes it with less trauma than you are. Either way, your love will comfort her, and vice versa.

RIP, Halo......
