Sure, a lot of bird owners just know about transporting birds in a cage, but sometimes you just have to think outside the box. The Bird Buddy is just as safe as a cage. Use it on the back seat if you feel that the bird will hit the windshield in a crash. Believe me, in a crash, your birds health will be the least of your worries. I've been a bird lover for 15 years and I love my birds, but the reality of it is that I own a very small car (VW Beetle) and I can not get a macaw-sized cage in the back seat. I've gone over 10,000 miles with my macaw on the seat perch with no problems ever. Oh, I'm sorry. The only problem that I have is that when the trip is over, my macaw doesn't want to get off the Bird Buddy Vehicle Perch.

lol, do you work for these people? it sounds like an ad!!
in a crash, my bird would be the FIRST thing i'd worry about, especially such a bigbird, could be thrown into your head and hurt you, and could be killed so much easier than you could be.
i wouldn't have my bird loose in the car, it's unfair to you and them. when you get in the car, the first thing you do is put your seatbelt on, why wouldn't you do the same for your beloved pet??
a girl at my work had to buy a bigger car to accomodate her dog. maybe it's time you did too :P
