Bird + food = mess

As I sit here typing, dodging bits of scrambled egg, peaches, apples & pears, I am reminded of a child's first birthday.....giving him a cake and just letting him have at it.

Why do they get a huge mouth full and then shake thier heads, causing projectile food attacks? I find food in places I wouldn't think to look.

Looks like "we" will be having a bath after our Sunday morning breakfast...*sigh*....can't beat the "happy noises" though

Don't I know it! Macaws have to one of the messiest creatures on the whole Earth. Aggie delights in picking up beakfuls of food (especially the expensive fresh stuff) and flinging it as hard as possible. Silly girl...

Oh and their favorite pasttime is making fid soup...that's a fun job to clean up

Romeo only throws stuff that stains!!!! Bonita isn't as picky, she throws everything or tries to feed it to me. Don't ever give them Palmagranit (spelled wrong) in carpeted areas, it doesn't come out!!! Crystal

I just spent 2 hours scrubbing the cage, walls, and floors. She is lucky that I love her so much.

My TV watching chair is between Tausi's hanging gym and Quito's play stand. I've gotten used to digging the occasional pellet out of my glass. Yesterday one went down the back of my shirt. They only get the messy stuff when they are in their cages. They fling it bad enough then!

I sometimes wonder if i should just take all 4 big ones out of their cages and throw them together in a big pig slop bowl, because the 3 GW's i swear try to share food and throw it at each other LOL.
The HY she stays to her self and since she is eating such a limited diet ( her choice, not mine ) ... she throws everything out of the cage that isnt a mac nut or a banana chip ..
yesterday I must have changed the water bowls 9 times each, every time they could climb off the tree and head back to their cages, they would make a huge mess in their bowl.. why is it that as soon as they get a bath, they get 3/4 dry, then head back to their cage and take a bath in their bowl? they then head to their food dish and throw everything out as if to tell me, THEY are now cleaning LOL. I think they watch me clean to much .. they truly enjoy watching me scrub ! lol
