Play gym for Fids.

Has anyone ever bought one of these or know would it be a good play gym. Any info would be great. If you scroll down once on the site you can see a better photo & info. Thanks, Crystal

Don't have one or anything, but with many manzanita perches, sometimes getting them sand blasted or sand papered will help birds grip onto it better, since the bark tends to be far too soft to easily grip.

Thanks. The guy said he could make me any size I want. Do you think that one would be to big for Bonita's (Sun Conure) feet? He said they range from 0.5 - 1 inch in diameter. Crystal

I was thinking the same thing about the wood. When it gets wet it gets a little slippy. (my conure is missing part of a toe and seems to have problems perching properly, so I always take note on things like that) As the other poster said- you may want to sand it to help give them better grip.

THe sanding would be no problem. I'm just thinking if it would be to big for Bonita's little feet. Crystal

I recently bought a big manzanita play gym for my tiels. The branches are a little on the big side but the guy who made them shaves most of the bark off and the tiels haven't had any problems so far.
