The vet visits Tooville!

My wonderful vet and his assistant Pam came to the house today and trimmed nails and wings! My vet is such an awesome man - I can't say enough nice things about him and his staff.. Neither of them could believe Rosebud's progress; they said she doesn't look like the same bird!
He also said that with so many birds in the house, they are all healthy and happy!
The house has been pretty quiet tonight - and poor Sassy isn't having anything to do with me. Because she plucks we have left her old tail feathers in place; the vet pulled them today and I thought Sassy was going to have a heartattack!
All will be back to its hectic state by tomorrow - !

They were pulled to encourage new growth. The old ones were dead and brittle.

Good avian vets do make house calls. Especially to people with large flocks.

Yes, as Nancy stated - it is to promote new growth. The last time the vet came we left them alone, hoping they would fall out on their own but they didn't, and they were an awful mess! You have to remember that Sassy is my plucker, and she plucks her tail feathers bad! She is really rough with her feathers.
