it gets pretty chilly on the east coast, no wait ...it gets REALLY cold on the east coast ! lol I couldnt even begin to imagine Colorado temps .. Im a fall kinda gal, temps in the 60's with a sweater and Im happy .. but noooooooo we dont get fall and spring anymore here , we go from HOT to COLD . one day the AC is on and the next day, its so cold the heat goes on ..
I always wondered what a good temp would be for the birds, i like the 68 - 70 temp . of course ill have to wear a sweater in the house, but heck .. with the cost of heating thats OK LOL

The birds shake here too, i always ask them if they are shivering an they sorta look at me like , get me out of the cage, its to darned cold mama .. LOL

the baby GW, she comes out and if im sitting with a throw blanket on, she crawls underneath it , shes to cute. She is only 6 months , so we will see what she really thinks of cold weather soon.

That's just a GW thing. My 25 year old is happiest when snuggled up in a crocheted afghan that I keep on the loveseat just for her. They like the soft threads and she constantly tongues it. My BGs could care less.

I'll stick to Georgia. Don't want anything colder. My mom lives in Michigan, always has, & always tells me I should come live there. NO THANKS. To cold for me.

I have to say, we have had a B&G .. dont even get me started on that bird, it was 25 years ago and we have had a scarlet, the GW is by far the cuddliest bird I have ever been with . .. yes I know that other peeps have cuddly birds, but i mean for us, the GW's have been the best pets to add to the family.

The breeder I got my other fids from do have GW's. Don't know if they have any babies or not though. They did however, tell me that the next bird I get from them will come with a discount since I have bought from them twice & have refered people to them. They said if the bird normally cost $1200, they would sell him to me for $900. Not bad if you ask me. They were trying to talk me into a B&G. Crystal
