Here's a pic

Here's a pic that I took of some members yesterday. A good time was had by all. The store wide sale was awesome. 20% off your whole order. Yes, I did some damage there. Toys and tons of food. If you missed it this year make sure to make it next year. It's wonderful talking face to face with people who don't think you are crazy because your life is all about birds. LOL!!!

Kathie, Jeff, and myself spent many long nights this past week prepping for everything. Kathie I think you did a great job all the decorations looked fab, the toy contest and Dr.pepperburgs new seminar were great additions this year. I didnt get a chance to hear Nikki speak but I did get to meet her breifly (not rocky though). Sugar was thrilled to get all the attention she did today shes such a ham. I can't wait for the next big event at bird paradise !! BTW doesnt the new expansion on the store look great ?!
My kids and I drove up Friday night-we couldn't get the GPS to recognize the Route addresses and relied on Mapquest. Got off the NJ Turnpike at Exit 4 and wandered through town until we found our hotel at Exit 5 somehow-Mapquest was confused I guess

Could have stayed at Parrot Palooza all day Saturday-loved being around all those birds! It really impressed me how clean Bird Paradise is-from floor to ceiling, the place is crammed full of stuff and nothing is dusty, dirty or poopy! We spoke with a really nice guy in the baby room-I believe he told us Sugar belonged to his gf. I'm guessing that is you She is absolutely glorious!

We told him how impressed we were with how clean everything was and the beautiful condition all of the birds & cages were in. He said that everyone worked very hard to get ready for this event but we both agreed that the establishment and it's birds are well cared for beyond just being on show yesterday. I wouldn't hesitate to buy anything on-line from them. The seed room smelled fresh & sweet, all of the mixes clean! Just no comparison to what I have seen around my area I think some of our local shops should take a field trip to NJ and check out BP.

I saw 3 beautiful Illigers (such sweet faces!) there and met the lady who purchased one of them. Small world, she is an alumni of the college my daughter is attending. The kids and I decided we have to add an Illigers one day I didn't share that part with my DH. We have to get the B&G here first! It was really a big deal for us because other than our first experience at the pet shop here, we hadn't been around that many macaws or seen them at different ages. Of course we migrated to the B&G babies, and were quite entertained for some time by them :)

Well worth the trip. I am glad we went. I will not hesitate to do business long distance over the Net with Bird Paradise based on my experience there!

Can't wait to visit again! Perhaps by plane next time
