Yeah..... it was really cool meeting you!!!! It was such a long day for me....... BUT SO MUCH FUN!!!! I was there longer than my normal work day, but it didn't feel nearly as long!!
I do think they could've squeezed maybe one more person in. That's it, though!!! |

I really wanted to go, but Barb needed a little support this morning with the transfer of Bogey to Jill.
So, Don. Just what did you buy?

Nancy, I wish you could've been there. It was really a grey't time!!! Dr. Pepperberg is so nice!!! And it was cool seeing Hope (Rocky the Grey from the Tony Danza Show) and his owner, Nikki. She was really nice!!!
I didn't come home with any birds (if that's what you're asking). All 4 of the GWs were sold, and (I believe) the last Grey was sold today. They were all so darn cute. There was one male CAG with a crooked beak that was as sweet as he wanted to be. He just wanted some lovin. There was this really cute BG that would do everything within his power to get my attention every time I'd walk by. Then when I'd stop, he'd stick his beak through the cage bars and just lick me with that rubbery tongue. I did buy the babies some more toys (like they need even one more). And I stocked up on foods (nuts, fruits, veggies and such). Leigh talked me into trying some Avian Trio ( http://petpower.com/aviantri.shtml ). I put it on their food tonight, they didn't seem to mind it. So, we'll see. All in all, it was a really grey't day. Hell..... I got to work in an awesome bird store for the day..... how could it not be grey't? |

Wow! I'm glad everyone had fun! I was planning to go (and REALLY wanted to), but the girl who was working for me today (so I could go) had an emergency and I had to go into work anyway!

This years Parrot Palooza was the best yet, I think we had atleast double the amount of people than we did last year. Well I had alot of fun and I hope everyone else did too. Kathie, Jeff, and myself spent many long nights this past week prepping for everything. Kathie I think you did a great job all the decorations looked fab, the toy contest and Dr.pepperburgs new seminar were great additions this year. I didnt get a chance to hear Nikki speak but I did get to meet her breifly (not rocky though). Sugar was thrilled to get all the attention she did today shes such a ham. I can't wait for the next big event at bird paradise !! BTW doesnt the new expansion on the store look great ?!

Well, I'm gonna try to make it next year. I may even crash at Carol and Doug's. I'm green with envy, for I wanted especially to meet Kathie.
