Fruit and Veggie slump- need inspiration

Hi, I'm in a slump on fruit and veggies for my birds. I'm looking for posts on what everyone feeds their fids so I can start buying some new stuff for my little ones. My staples are mango (number 1 favorite food here!), carrots and green beans. I tend to alternate with purple cabbage, corn on the cob, squash, snow peas and berries. Need some new ideas. Got any suggestions?

pomagranites (sp), okra, beets (I like to steam them and make mashes with them), sweet potatos (same as beets), they loved the cherry tomatoes all summer from the garden (we grew the okra too), squash (ditto the beets comment), pumpkin (get a small one and let them have the whole thing!)

Try offering brocolini. Its kind of a stalkier broccoli and many birds really like it. Also, try turnips and turnip greens, mustard greens and collards. Great leafy greens.

Also, try summer squash and zucchini. My guys don't care for it raw, oh no.....it has to be steamed.....

along with the fresh veggies and fruits I also make pasta meals and birdie bread. I'll make up a batch and seperate it into portions and freeze it. I make birdie bread with veggies or this last batch I made it with apples, bananas and cinnamon. This one even my daughter eats. LOL! With the pasta meals I'll add a little different veggies with different spices in it. My guys really like garlic but I also use creole seasoning. This way, they get their fruits and veggies in but its in a different way and it doesn't get boring for them. Also, eggs mixed with veggies, like an omelet is good also. The main fruits and veggies I use are raspberries, apples, bananas, blueberries, corn, peas, green beans, broccoli, carrots, potatoes, sweet potatoes. I also use dried pineapple, mango, raisins, grapes, oranges. My grey, Merlin, took all of his orange pieces and all that was left was orange joice in his bowl. LOL!

Scarlett eats green apples, oranges, banana, grapes, blueberries, cranberries, kiwi, cherry tomatoes, celery, baby carrots, sweet potatoes, cucumber, any type of peppers including the hot ones (her favorite is the inside part with the seeds that we'd normally throw away), zucchini, yellow squash, romaine lettuce (she doesn't get it often), butternut squash, acorn squash, mini pumpkins, dandelion greens, collard greens, mustard greens, fresh cilantro, fresh parsley, corn on the cob, and kale. That's just the fresh fruits/veggies she likes!

She also gets brown rice, oatmeal, pasta, hardboiled eggs, canned salmon, plain low-fat yogurt, cottage cheese, chicken, and birdie bread fairly regularly.

I just wash them and throw the whole thing in her bowl raw. It's great for her b/c it keeps her entertained for at least an hour.

Outlaw posted an pumpkin apple bake recipe in the recipe forum last year that I'm going to try this week.

What about those fancy gourds they have for decoration, can you use those and do you steam them first or give raw?
