I have a big cheap aluminum pot that I think was supposed to be used for crabs. I'll put that on the stove and toss in a spash of vanilla extract or lemon extract or cinnamon, chinese 5 spice powder has a great smell also. When I clean the tub/shower I'll turn on the shower to rince it and then let it blast at high heat with the bathroom door open. If you are going to use a vaporizer or humidifier I recommend adding GSE to the water. One thing you can do with plants because dirt and mulchs have a lot of mold in them is to repot (rinse your roots) using a sterile soiless mix. I have asthma and can't be anywhere near mulch and can only visit outdoor garden centers.

I have a small gallon-sized cool mist humidifier for the birds room and one for my bedroom for my asthma. I change the water daily (well it's more like refill) and add some GSE to each tank of water. I do a bleach soak and thorough cleaning of the machines each weekend.

I've never had an issue with mold but I am very on top of keeping humidifiers clean.

I have two small aquariums in the room were the birds cages are. Mine are without the topglas, I have to fill them up a few centimeters every day and the air in the roomis great.

I agree! I can't wait to try this and see how good the house smells.
