Wow! I want one, too! I love Aussie parrots more than any others for some reason. I'm thinking about different species as a companion for my cockatiel, Buster, once she is ready for a friend. What do those of you "down under" think about the Rock Pebbler as a cockatiel friend? Please let me know. Thanks!

Sure, either a Rock Pebbler/Regent or a Princess would be a great companion for a Cockatiel.

Beryl seems afraid of my cockatiel -- the guy I got her from said "I kept him [sic] in a flight cage fulla cockatiels. But he just sat there and didn't do nuthin'."

Maybe Beryl didn't do nuthin', but I suspect the cockatiels she was with were doing something--to terrorize her.

My 'tiel Perl is a sweetie pie and she used to be picked on by other cockatiels, so I'm hoping Beryl will realize that Perl is harmless and they'll become buddies.

Please keep us (me) posted on Beryl's progress. I would bet that a group of cockatiels might frighten a single bird of a different species especially if that species is equally shy. Maybe once Beryl sees that your Perl is a good buddy to you and you're a good buddy to Beryl she'll make the connection that she and Perl can be buddies. These Rock Pebblers are beautiful birds, male or female.

Beryl is settling in to a nice big "new" (to her) cage. I found a used cage being sold cheap on commission at a local mom-n-pop pet store on my way home from work.

She ate out of my hand for the first time yesterday. HOW COOL IS THAT?! I brought home some nutri-berries and she couldn't manage them unless I held them for her.
