Handrearing lorikeets

Has anyone had any experience handrearing rainbow lorikeets? I have had to rescue one of my babies as a pair of females went on a rampage and killed two chicks and i thought this little guy was dead too as he was on his back legs up in the air, but saw he was breathing. Anyway Ive only ever hand reared peachfaces and tiels and not sure how to go about feeding a non seed eater. A while ago another breeder in my area said to feed it what I feed the adults but didnt list any foods. this morning he ate some lorikeet wet mix through a syringe, but that stuff makes me nervous as it thickens up quite a lot. I fed it to him very runny, but the stuff in the bowl still firmed up a fair bit. Scared it will get stuck in his throat. I tried a bit of apricot nectar yesterday but he didnt like that at all. He happily ate the wet mix this morning, but just checking for any tips from anyone who has tried this before. Also how often should he be fed. Not sure how old he is but his feathers are growing and he has wing feathers/stubble and some green on most of his body, so fairly advanced but still at least 3 weeks from being ready to come out of the nest.

Any advice most appreciated.
