New Preferences

Within the last few weeks Pippin has shown two
new preferences....

1) He likes getting his fresh fruits, veggies, crackers and crunchy stuff
in a bowl on the cage bottom. He doesn't like when I add these things to his regular food bowls, usually tossing everything out in a bit of a fit.

2) He's suddenly enjoying his fresh fruits, crackers and crunchies so much, that he's hardly eating his Crazy Corn (cooked) breakfast anymore!
This was totally unheard of just a couple of weeks ago!
I mean he used to dive into that crazy corn bowl and not come up
for air until it was all gone! -LOL-

In the picture you can see his typical "breakfast bowl" he gets,
aside from the usual seed-n-pellet blend.
He gets apple chunks, mango chunks, either orange slices or
pear chunks, with Triscuts or Wheat Thins or Veggie thins, etc.
I've eliminated the cooked food breakfast and now he gets
that only once a day in the evening, instead of twice a day.

I don't know what it is about eating from a bowl like that on the cage bottom, but it works for him!
Maybe it might be the trick for other birds who are resistant
to new foods or fresh foods added to their usual feeding
stations or bowls?
Or maybe he just thinks he's a DOG?? LOL
