Moving house question

I will be moving into my new house in a few weeks, and I wanted to know if there's anything special I should do, or anything I should look for. Being it will be a new enviorment for him, will that affect him?

He's gone with me to see the house as it's been being built, and I kept telling him this is our new house....lol

find him a good place for the cage where he's not in the line of drafts and involved in everyday life - not that i have to tell you that seems like he's the center of your life (i'm "guilty" of that too ).
he might be a little grumpy the first few days, just give him some time to settle in, and spoil him a little more (if that's possible). also, i would leave his cage the way it is, and not rotate toys or change anything up. keep as much as you can the same.
i'd introduce him to the house slowly - set up his cage, and let him settle in for a day or two. then walk him to another room and let him check it out - kind of one at a time.

btw - make sure the paint smell and other smells have aired out before you move him in

best of luck - when's the moving date?

Thanx!! Not sure exactly when I will move in, only that it will, hopefully, be within the next few weeks. The house is in Founders Village...are you aware of where that is? It's in Castle Rock. This project has been going on for almost 3 years. I got involved at the very beginning, when I was still in Calif.

The painting and everything is all done. It just needs to be cleaned, and a few little things need to be completed. Then I will have a walk thru.

I plan on putting his cage in the living room which is down stairs. It's a very open floor plan so he'll be able to see me, and he'll be near a big picture window. You'll have to come visit with Valo for a play date....

I'm not sure where that exactly is, but it's just a hop down to castle rock in general, so can't be that far from here it's not santa fe, right?! (that's my regular trip)
