Ball + cord = Happy Bird

OK....we spend tons of money on our fids toys....right? (well some of us do, others are smart enough, and have already caught on) When it only takes a few simple inexpensive items to bring hours of play joy to them.

Example:

1 plastic ball with bell

1 cord strung from top of cage

Tie ball to end of cord, and sit back and watch.

Baby loves this...he can throw the ball, and I don't have to chase it. He can get mad at the ball, and I don't have to chase it. The point is....I DON'T HAVE TO CHASE IT! ....and he loves it. Hours of fun.

Good point, but I don't think he can. The cord is not a thin cord, so it has a certain amount of stiffness to it. He usually sits on his perch or hangs upside down from the cord and flings the ball.

I'll watch him carefully and if it seems he can injure himself, I will certainly remove it.

Bonita loves to throw the ball & for me to go get it. lol I tried the ropw thing, she didn't like it cause it come back & hit her. I thought she was gonna kill that ball. So I just leave the same kinda ball you posted at the bottom of her cage. SHe loves it. I have one on her playgym as well. She likes that one cause it doesn't swing back & hit her. I keep saying that I'm not gonna buy no more toys, I'm just gonna make them. Then I go yesterday to the bird show & spend $100 give or take on toys. I have no self control. Crystal

The best part is when it comes back and hits him....lol I think that's what he likes so much about it. He also has 2 of the balls, a small stuff bunny, a almost done roll of toilet paper & one of those small corn cobs at the bottom of his cage...............spoiled, nah.

There is a bird show this weekend here, thank god I'm working....lol

Good idea! I bought Doyle some balls yesterday, so far he is just really afraid of them. But my dogs love them, lol.
