Pita has a nice sateen mauve sheet. King size. It goes nicely with his eyes.

Another vote for a dark blue sheet here. Quito has a "cozy cover" and it works great, but Tausi's blue sheet works just as well.

Kathie, you didn't ask me, but I cover my guys because I get up for work at 2am, their cages are in the living room, and there's no place in the house to put sleep cages where they wouldn't still be bothered with lights. It's entirely possible that they'd be fine without covering, but I'm reluctant to try it when this seems to work well.

I cover Valo, because I sometimes work late (1-2am) and we have to get up at 7:30am the latest... and the attention demanding guy that he is, he would not go to sleep without covering him. Since I live in a 1BR apartment, I can't just move somewhere else...
I don't think I'd cover the cage if he was in a seperate room where I can just put him to sleep when it gets dark... my student stipend just doesn't pay for that extra room

I use a black piece of fabric also. I used it for photography also. Chipper wants to be covered. She will chirp until I sing and then cover her.

I cover mine so they can get a good nights rest. Their cages are in my living room. We don't go to bed until late, like around midnight. So I don't want the sun waking them up. As it is now, they usually get uncovered around 8, so they are only getting 8 hours. I am considering covering them earlier while we are still up, I will see how that goes. I don't think 8 hours is enough. Also, I take away their food at night, and I don't want them waking up at 6, and having to wait two or three hours to eat breakfast when I get up.
