a have a question

i was on another group.i was browsing there icons.
i saw a beautiful bird on there and would like to find out what it is....
it looks like an umbrella, but its black
could anyone tell me what it is.....thanks donna

well if it had a red face it was palm but, it is some type of black cockatoo like a red tailed or yellow tailed. post a pic and i would be able to tell you

thank you for all those pictures, i believe it was the palm..i had no idea there was so many different colors for cockatoos.they are all so beautiful in coloring...im going to have to read up on the different kinds.just lovely photos...again thanks.....donna

There sure are quite a few different toos out there! Most well known are the sulphurs and umbrellas! But we can't forget them black toos or the colorful pink ones either!

Thanks Monica....you do know your stuff...you impress me for being a youngster Feels good to know the younger generation(then me) will be there leading the way in aviculture when all us older people have to take a step back....
You and Camille are very good examples of the younger generation.

Yeah, but those cool little pink ones, the Galah...mine tried to eat my finger last night. He lured me in with his tiny little voice "step up step up!" Then grabbed with one foot, started to step on and changed his mind...CHOMP! My response to this cute little ROSIE "AAAAHHHHHHHH" they pack a punch!

I second that - like I said in another post, Monica (and Camille too) would be perfect candidates for BP. Instead of going out partying, they are on BB or some other website doing research (or studying).
