Holiday cage decor ideas?

Hi all!! I was just trying to think of some ideas to decorate Primer's cage for the holidays / Christmas. Does anyone have any ideas to help me out? I would really like my feathered friend to be festive with the fam. :-)

Just be careful. Not only does new stuff freak the birds out, but holiday stuff could have small parts that could be ingested.

We're not even putting up our tree this year for the birds sake. I will miss it, but its an 11 ft pre lit monster. It usually goes just across from where we keep our CAG. That thing being next to him all night would probably lead to some serious plucking issues!

Try Doctor's Foster and Smith Pet Supplies they have alot of holiday related items for birds. Maybe you can get some ideas from them.

I agree with looking at Doc Foster. I just got their mailing and it has a lot of nice x-mas toys. As a matter of fact, I am going to order some!

We have stockings for all of the birds. I got a really cool one for Belle last year on Ebay. It has a Grey's face printed on it. The other ones are the red fuzzy with white fuzzy on top. DH got them at the mall and had all of their names put on them. We hang them on the credenza and fill them on Christmas Eve. They get lots of toys and treats from Santa....wait a minute...that's just like every other day around here! LOL!!

We put up a small tree and we have ornaments for all of our birds. I also have little birds nests, doves and cardinals. I also put lots of lights on the tree. The birds just seem to enjoy it so much.

We do the tree set up in stages. First the tree comes out of the box and gets set up. We leave it there for a few days. Then I put the lights on. Again we let them settle in with that. Then we put the ornaments, and a few days later I put the tinsle. By the time we are done the birds are so used to it being there. It's when we take it down that they flip out! LOL! Gotta love 'em!
