Not meanin to step on any toes, but....
It's one of the Warblers, I'm just not exactly sure which Warbler it is. Ringneckmom, Poi_Lover & veryorignal : It's definitely NOT a Goldfinch - the mystery bird's head is more elongated, as well as the beak being too long & pointy for it to be a AGF. Andres 424: I'm pretty sure it's not a Cape May. There's a chance it could be an immature female, but I doubt it. Male CMW's have the orangey red face/cheek patches & only one white bar on the wings. Females CMW's have 2 white bars, but they appear broken or "dotted" when wings are at rest, instead of the solid bars that bird has. As I said at the beginning, I'm not entirely sure which Warbler it is as there are quite a few different warblers (especially immature males) that have similar coloration. It could be an immature Blackpoll or a Pine warbler. From the marking around the eyes & the hint of orange near the front of the cheek & throat it could even be a very young Blackburnian Warbler (one of my personal favs). If you can get a few more pics, I might be able to pin it down better.

Looks most like a pine warbler, but since the face doesn't appear that defined (on some photos), I'd want to say a Cape May... however Cape Mays seem to have darker feathers...
http://www.giffbeaton.com/warblers.htm Therefore, I think I'll stick with Pine Warbler... http://www.nearctica.com/birds/warbl...tes/plate1.htm

I think it might be like a little bird we found panting on the ground beside the Lake one spring morning - exhausted from crossing Lake Ontario in the night. I remember someone saying King something.... It has a wide mouth for insect catching I think. (?)

Still here
What ever he is, he is still here!
The warehouse has many large overhead doors that are open, and Roof Vents along the entire Ridge that are Open, I don't think he wants to leave, There are numerous bugs up there to eat, I left some bread crumbs & crackers in a pile on the table and there were re-arranged this morning! Its interesting! Dave
