ok..i have birds for a while but never thought about this. well i thought about it but not really....if that makes any sense...ha ha


ok...what is considered a draft?

5deg. cooler?/

10Deg. cooler?

Good question. There are of course different types of drafts. If it's 90 degrees outside and an 80-degree draft rolls in, there's no problem unless it's coming in at 30 miles an hour or more!

A sudden drop in temperature via draft of more than five degrees at lower temperatures might be considered detrimental. At least I would consider it as such.

IS there such a thing as a draft like going up in deg.?? say 80deg. to 90deg. (the opposite of what you just said?"

I'd avoid any quick change in temperature, up or down.

Light a match or candle near the bird's cage; if the flame flickers a great deal or is blown out, the cage is in a draft...

yes...but fumes from lighting a match are not good for birds...but i get the idea of what you are saying.

...or use a piece of string or yarn where you think there might be a draft.
