I was in a pet store yesterday and heard a macaw for the first time- whoa! I have never heard a noise like that in my life, lol.

Before we bought our house, my husband and I loved in a 750 sq foot one bedroom apartment. At the time, we had my B&G Aztec, Rainbow Lory, Duyvenbode Lory,Meyers Parrot, a Tiel and a Parrotlet.(we didn't have a lot of furniture) My B&G can be quite loud at times. We were on a first floor apartment and half of the apartment was under ground level. Luckily the people above were always playing loud music at all hours. The apartment on one side was empty and the guy on the other side never said a thing. I ran into him going out to walk his dog when I was home sick one day. (Dogs were not permitted in the apartments). So, he never said anything about Aztec and I pretended I never saw the dog, lol. Would I do it again...absolutely not.

We were not there too long. Now, we have a bigger house and my neighbors 4 houses down can hear Aztec and GW Cassidy when they get cranking....

I live in a Townhouse. Its a townhouse / apartment complex. There are townhouse on bottom with apratments above them. I have 2 Severe Macaws, a Sun Conure & a Pigeon. No one has ever complained. The guys next to us blast their radio & the lady above us has kids that make so much noise I don't know how she hears anything. Crystal
