THIS was NOT the plan.....

Today was my first Saturday off!!! It was a really good day!! I decided that I wanted to go to Bird Paradise!! I haven't been there in about a month. I didn't really "need" anything. I was running low on a few things, but wasn't completely out. And, I have enough food in the freezer, they won't be going hungry any time soon!! I just really enjoy that store.....WAY TOO MUCH!!

NOW..... here comes the part that was not the plan..... There was a couple there, holding a baby BG. And when I say baby, I mean baby.... no more than 6-8 weeks old. This will be their first bird. The husband works from home, the wife said she thinks he get bored at home. I told her that a BG will keep him plenty busy!!!

Well, the employee that was sitting with them was also sitting next to the other baby!! She had to go do something, so she told me to "babysit"! She told me to sit down, she placed some paper towels on my lap and then placed this naked baby on top of the paper towels! She really shouldn't have done that because THIS WAS NOT THE PLAN!!!! The plan was to go shopping for some food and a few toys...... I was there for over 5 hours!!!

Some of you know, that I was PLANNING on getting a GW next. I didn't expect it to happen until some time next year. Even though I have the room here, I wanted to get into a bigger house. Well, I'm sure you all know where this is going..... I asked Kathie if they could hold it for me until I spoke with my landlord. My lease states that I can have 2 birds. And, I can't bring in any other animals without express written consent from my landlord. So, when I got home tonight, I sent her an email. She probably won't get it until Monday. So, hopefully I'll hear from her then!!!

Anyway, I took a couple of pictures of the baby with my camera phone. They're not as good as they'd be if they were from my digital camera.....but again...... THIS WAS NOT THE PLAN!!!

Aww!! How cute! I really think that once you are owned by one bird, it's hard to stop, lol. We have only had Doyle a month and half and I am ready for another one. They are just so darn lovable and sweet (most of the time, lol). Good luck, I hope your landlord approves it!! Tiffany
