This is our adopted flock;

Mickey, a miniature yellow-neck Macaw. We’re not sure of her history, but I’d guess she was not handled much. She was a plucker. When we got her, her entire chest and back where bald. She had a fear of hands, but now will step up, and likes to play games. She is quite shy, but has a great sense of humor. Mickey says “hello”, “oh”, “what?”, “pretty bird”, and dose the wolf whistle, and a convincing meow and a hilarious puppy bark.

Kylie our Sun Conure. We don’t know about her history either, but if you know about Suns, you can guess she was given up, probably because of that loud contact call! We don’t mind at all, we actually like it, Kylie gets everybirdy started. Quite an orchestra, great watchbirds as well!
Attack bird!

Lucky my little Brown throat conure (smartest little bird in the universe) Lucky has a cute little whistle talk, but still pretty clear. He dose the wolf whistle, says “pretty pretty bird”, and “step up”, and a puppy bark that makes everybody laugh. When you do he laughs back! If he gets a little carried away when I’m playing with him and gives a nip, he yells “No No!” Something he obviously learned from my daughter who was his previous owner. The little genius loves to give instructions to the other birds with a “step up” when we open someone else’s cage. He was our first adoption when she realized she didn’t have enough time to devote to him.

And our latest adoption through PEAC (Parrot Education and Adoption Center), Norma Jean a normal green Indian ring neck. We have had her for a few weeks and she is adjusting well. She was put into the adoption program by her owner who never (and I do mean never) let her out of her cage. Norma had no toys, just pellet and water. She now enjoys lots of attention, toys, and exercise on the new gym I made.
We also have three small adopted lizards, two uromastyx, and a chuckwalla.
