is this a way of importing birds?

i was on another forum. the post was about "stuffed" parrots.i think its down right digusting!!! and pure evil.
i cant get the address to work. but on his ebay list of items to sell was a stuffed wb caique and a moustche parakeet. it was an actual parrots stuffed.

Well I guess if the bird has died naturally and the owners would like to keep the pet "alive" forever then it COULD be ok. But I'd never do it, bury the poor thing! =( How sad!

Ok I withdraw my answer... Yuck! I just did a search and found the link. This is what taxidermists do, I just dont like it. Why stuff an animal so you can put it on your mantle? They have feelings too. Ughh..

there is another one,too. that makes me wonder if he is actually selling live birds. because he has a statement that says these are cities 2 protected spieces and that if you buy w/out cities 2 permit you and he would be imprisoned.

No, stuffing is stuffing. You cant stuff a bird and have it live... I just hope he WAITS until they die of natural causes and doesnt hunt them.

but why would you need to havbe a permit to buy a stuffed bird? thats what im wondering.

I'm not a fan of taxidermy, maybe in museums for educational purposes only if the animal dies of natural causes. That ebay seller is in the UK, not sure what their laws are. I know you can't import them to Australia, not that I would want to.
