Poor Green Amazon..

Well apparently if you build it they will come...

A Green Amazon has taken up residence albeit temporarily.. haven't decided what to do...

Background.. Father answered his door at 11am - neighbor sold house, moving truck is there & yup they left him in a travel cage on his doorstep. Father can't handle two amazons.. so hear I am - What a sucker we are (hubs picked him up a little while ago).

Max hasn't seen him but can hear him & is visibly pissed.. Amazon's in quarrantine & has his beak open ready to rumble - probably a male.

Looked at his band & looks like maybe 13yrs old. Like I said albeit a temporary home for now - we shall see how it goes..

Thank you for taking care of him.

I can't get a rescue to ship me an old cranky amazon. Funny how things work. I want one and can't get one, and you who don't want one has one drop in your lap. :)

Male 'zons could probably share the motto "Ready to Rumble." It has a nice ring to it. What kind of 'zon is he? Pics? It's going to be fascinating to see how this plays out.

So I guess my ENTHUSIASM or my CAG's isn't overflowing in this post..(lol). Hub's is like can we keep him, can we keep him & I'm the bad guy...ummm NO!

We are definitely going to have some entertaining discussions (ie battles) over this one.

Honestly, I have no idea what he is.. so I may have to get a new digital camera (mine's broken - ok I dropped it) & fire up some pictures this week. I'll let you guys tell me what little green toughguy has invaded my home.

I have no idea if it's been vetted. I would bet money the answer is no. So, he's in quarrantine & I'll be carting him off to the vet this weekend..for testing.

Ok I'm looking at the Amazona Society pics & does anybody know the difference between a Redlored or Lilac Crown.

I'm squinting over here trying to figure this out.
