It's Diet? Would you really honestly like to know? That crap they sell at Walmart advertised for 'parrots'. Good containers that I like to use, but I REFUSE to use the actual product itself...
Somehow I knew the answer before you gave it to me. You can see it in his feathers. Poor thing. Maybe you will make them think enough to start paying more attention to this little guy. Keep us posted.

I do hope to make an improvement in his life! Heck, I've even thought about talking to the mother and asking that instead of her wasting her money on slots (or giving a lot of it to her husband), if she'd devote just enough each paycheck to at least buy him 1-2 toys! Doubt it'd work, but we'll have to see!
Would also love to get some 'after bath' pics too, to see if his feather quality has improved any. In the least bit, I enjoyed sanding down the manzanita branches (using the dremel-think I ought to get a second one... a corded dremel for perches...), and well I've got plans for a few other perches to be sanded down too!

Pretty sad when you clearly see animal abuse and yet the owners don't THINK they are abusing the animal in any way. If things don't improve I've thought about calling animal control to see if there's anything that they can do. Of course, I also have photos of the old cage (the one I posted on last) to give proof that he was living in worse conditions than he is now...
Alyce, even if they gave up Mouth, I wouldn't be able to keep him for an indefinite amount of time... Charlie filled up the gap of wether or not I could care for any more birds (i.e. as far as food goes-and I know large parrot food of the right type can be expensive... even at that if Mouth was switched to a more fresh food diet it'd just be too much...). So, my thoughts were that if Mouth EVER (small possibility) came into my possession, I'd get someone from the bird club to take him (and besides, I already know of two people who are willing to give Mouth a home). Have thought about making him some toys, but I don't really have much for a larger bird (well hardly anything at all unless I put together a bunch of small items!), so we'll see... I'd definitely like to get him some more toys though!
