last night

Miss Em is not much of a snuggler, not with me anyway. She would go to the end of the earth, however, to spend a few with her daddy.

Alot of people say that Greys tend to be one person birds. I have to beg to differ with that. Both Sydney and Emma are fantastic, well adjusted greys that would happily go to either George or I. Neither of them have switched alliences as it is usually noted. I am the food dispencer,live in maid, and toy supplier, where George is the playtoy, but thats ok...thats usually the "mom's" job anyway.

Emma is very Vocal with sounds. not word,(or not many) but is definitly a tattle tail if George should at any time during the night, leave her sight in the livingroom while they are all out. She is the last one I hear calling me when I leave in morning and the first I hear when I pull up my driveway.

As soon as I get in the house, I drop my purse, take off the shoes, and make my way down the hall to the birds room. There Miss Em will happily scream, pin her eyes, dance, and immediately want "up". When I take her out I am greeted with a series of clicks and headbangs. Then the little love tries to feed me.
After that, she want NOTHING to do with me....cuz the rest of the night will be all about her daddy. (oh and dinner of course )

After she gets her snuggle time with George at night when he goes to bed, I always try to snuggle with her, when we return back to the livingroom couch. Emma is content to sit by me, but does not want to snuggle.

Last night was different.
I laid down on the couch as she was sitting on the arm of the couch....and she wanted to be down by me
I took her down to the cushion where she continued to want to be right by me and play. The girl was in rare mood...she was dancing, rolling around, headbutting me, clicking and mumbling to me...and then fed me *LOL*
I went to bed happy knowing she does now really like to interact with me when we do her mommy baby alone time.
I got the love from her, that George experiences every night, and really doesnt have a clue of how special it really is

I love Em....I always tell people that say, "But you can't snuggle a bird", that until you've been snuggled & loved by a bird, you don't know what you're missing.

I agree. Doyle is quite the cuddler! I just love it when they are being sweet, makes you feel all warm inside. Tiffany

Most of my birds have a preference. Only Tiki prefers my husband. Most of them prefer me, except Manu and Tjinimin who will go to either of us.
