Clearing the roads for a new baby sun...

My BF and I have been strongly thinking about getting that little baby sun conure from gbird's store... we were talking about another bird for a while, and that little baby is just simply adorable *sigh* (and I love conures)

Sooooo.....

*) BF asked landloard -> comment: you are crazy, but sure. (he doesn't like birds since his wife's nanday can't stand him) => CHECK

*) BF asked roommate -> comment: hey, why not - can we teach him to say "the raiders s&%$ ?" (sorry, raiders fans - broncos rule that household ) => CHECK

*) Vet appointment to get the baby checked out => CHECK

*) Get pretty cage for baby with lots of toys and goodies => almost CHECK (final decision expected today)

*) Bank account supplies: not great but certainly sufficient => CHECK

*) Arrangements to quarantine baby bird from Valo => CHECK

*) Ear plugs (for BF and roommate) => CHECK

*) Calling gbird to make sure baby's not leaving before we get there => CHECK

*) Patience, patience, patience until the weekend when BF comes to town to go and get the baby => ahh, working on it - who am I kidding nope, does not exist...

So, this is the conclusion according to things so far:

2-3 DAYS UNTIL WE BRING HOME A LITTLE BABY SUN

That's AWESOME!!!!!!!!!! I jsut may have to go visit that store just so I can see your baby. I"m so happy for you! You will LOVE having a sun! You might want to get some ear plugs for you as well.

I can now leave there with a little lighter heart, knowing the baby will have a wonderful, loving home. He is a sweety.

Also, I want to thank this forum, if not for it, I wouldn't have met Val & Hunter, and they wouldn't have met the baby Sun.....so thanx BirdBoard for bringing all of us bird lovers together.

Valo and [still nameless] have met at the store but only through the glass window - had to keep little Valo out of the bird room. But they both seemed very interested in each other....

however, for clarification: Valo is a CO resident like mommy, [still nameless] will be a NM resident for the next year like his daddy. So, they'll only have quality time together when BF and I see each other... maybe the humans also have some more time then (although, I guess it'll be less)

ps: @[still nameless]... we're open for suggestions for names. (we already eliminated flory and bronco - no way that the fid is named after a nfl team - men )
