Chipper's new CAGE is all set up!!!!!!

I ordered a Kings Cage and it arrived the other day. My son put it together. Took a while. It is SO nice. It is a huge mansion for my tiny Parrotlet! It is SO big inside. Room for her big Shaggy Swing, both coconut swings, other swings, both hidey huts, her huge rope perches she loves and the rest of her perches and toys. She is in heaven! We love her so much! Wonderful!

Now tell me, how did Chipper react to it at first? She looks pretty cozy in there in the pics, but did it take any time for her to warm up to it? And has she spent the night in it yet (or does she have a separate sleeping cage anyways, I can't remember)?

I'm so glad this has worked well for you and Chipper. You really did your homework, and it's paying off. Lucky Chipper to have you as her "flock"!

Sarah, We put Chipper on it and it it the night before, before there were many toys or perches, just to let her see it was OK. I kept the door open. I put her on top etc.

Then yesterday, I put her inside. It was her naptime so she just kind of sat there for a while. We sat with her and talked to her. She then got into her coconut swing and at popcorn. She churped a happy churp, then a "quack." I knew she was fine. I took a nap as I have to daily for Chronic Fatique. My son checked on her. She rested.

In the eve, she was playing around as usual. She slept in it, on top of the blue hut. She usually sleeps on her small swing in the old cage.

I think I will use the old cage as a BIG sleep cage, ha.

I worried about the change, but she does have other cages, outdoor little cage, travel cage... As long as there are toys and food, HEY, you can't go wrong with her! ha.

Kings cages always seem so well-built and handsome (we're ordering one in SS for baby Michael), and Chipper looks like she appreciates the new digs!
