Possessed Pita!!
He'll be sitting on the top of his cage, preening, nice & relaxed....then all of sudden, like someone flipped a light switch, he'll start running around the top of the cage, and hanging off the side, flapping his wings like there's no tomorrow.........almost like he's.......POSSESSED!!
what does that mean?  Also, do your FIDS like to have thier feet rubbed? Pita throws his head back, closes his eyes, mouth open, and is in birdy heaven. I can sit with him on my chest, and rub his feet for days! I love thier feet....

Hey gbird!
My guys do the same thing. From what Ive read, its just an "Im happy to be alive" dance they do and a very good behavior meaning , he is comfortable in his surroundings. Sounds like your doing a good job! And the foot thing, also good. If a bird doesnt trust you you cant touch his feet. So Pita must be very happy, trusts, and loves you!

hey gbird.
shadow does that too. whenever hes on the top of his cage.. he usually gets a little silly at some point and runs around like a mad man. its wicked cute seein them run isnt it? shadow always LOVES foot rubs and also beak rubs

That's hilarious!!!! Kiri doesnt let me touch her feet, but my amazon, Caesar does. And he made happy cooing noises while I did.

]valo is not too keen on foot rubs, but then - his feet are really small and i can touch them and carefully massage them, but rubbing - nope. well, the little orange that will be joining our family today - IF THAT THAT THAT SNOW WILL STOP COMING DOWN - loved foot rubs last night when i went to see him

I don't think I'll be able to meet you there. I've got packing to do, and of course it's snowing! But when I'm settled in my new house, I would love for all 4 of you to come for a visit. Give the baby a kiss kiss from me
