Ok ... I just surfaced from Budgie land & I see the goal to 'own every type of Macaw' is marching along like a well oiled machine! How the heck do you get anything done??
& I know what Border Collies are like - if you're seated you're prey. Nothing in your hands? - place it on the dog's head & pet or groom - oh & maybe a walk?. When you walk, do you ever lift your feet high? - in case a small dog gets all tangled there?

& all those big birds! Are they not mischievous & demanding of your time? Instead of an aviary I think you need a small horse barn to be the bird mansion.

You are certainly entertaining. & what's with the light toes? Are they all like that?

Homebird, my live revolves around my family, like it always has, and I like my family BIG! Doesn't matter to me what species they are, if they live here, they're loved :-).

I'll have you know that we don't own EVERY species of macaw, and never will. I do believe that the Spix is out of the running, after all . We don't have a Military, a Redfront, a Lear's (are there even any left?) or a Blue Throat, either. Nor any of the minis except for Evil Eddie. I, for one, am more than likely done with the birds I'll bring home. Unless someone wants to give me any one of the above, or Michelle gets tired of her Amazon, Dolly (who loves me!), or Z brings a BFA home at any point..... Really, tho', 2 birds ago I said we didn't have room for any more. I meant it, but, well, you know how it goes. The computers will be moving elsewhere when Mikey comes home. I don't know where, yet, but we'll figure it out. We always do :-).

Tripping over dogs is one of the hazards of living here. Luckily, the littlest one is usually in my arms instead of on the floor! And, yes, the birds keep me busy, busy, busy. It's one of several reasons I don't work outside the home. A huge birdroom would be wonderful, but isn't likely to happen soon. More likely is an outdoor aviary for summer lounging for all of us :-). Mikey's white toes are an anomaly. A mutation, possibly. I think Monica labels him a "pied" because of those white toes. Their feet are usually a dark grey all the way down to their toenails. As for being entertaining, I aim to please! *grins*

Yes, we're crowded and busy here. But it's our life to live as we please, and it makes us happy to be surrounded by these creatures. I know we are blessed by their love and company, and by the good fortune that allows us to be able to keep them properly and happily.

LOL! Whenever I talk to Baby Blue or Mikey, I always refer to them as "li'l guys"! I guess that after awhile you just don't notice their size all that much, because their personalities are so gentle. After all, as big as they are, my tiniest dog, Foxworthy Fuzz, at about 8 or 9 lbs. (he's got a lot of padding, too), is still a LOT heavier than Blue and Mikey combined :-).
