Exclamation Help I think Sunny is sick!

Hello, everyone, Sunny has not been acting right for two days now. He is puffing up and doing alot of chirping and flapping his wings...he is still eating and seems to be pooping ok but this puffing up alot is not what he does. Sunny is also very vocal when someone comes home and he is not screaming as much either...his is quiet. I am not sure what is the matter with him..He is now 7 months old could he be molting?

He is sleeping more and I called the vet but they cannot see him till the morning so I thought I would ask all of you?
Thanks

is the weight constant? nares clean? vent clean? sneezing? weird breathing sounds?

if all of these give a no, then all i can say is what i read in a book once "if you're bird is not acting right, you'll be the first to notice and then it's best to have him checked by a vet" - accordingly you're doing the right thing

he could be molting - 7 months is about the right age for a molt, and the time of the year is not too far off either... (we see quite some down-feathers recently).

just keep him warm overnight, and see what the vet says tomorrow

Yes, its like how women feel during that time of the month

but with that said, thank you for doing the most important thing when in doubt......going to the vet.

Good luck, let us know. Thanx for doing the right thing, calling the vet, and taking him in.

Sunny is fine, the doctor thinks that Sunny is beginning a molt. He is still puffing up today but he is eating and pooping ok. I am going to keep an eye on him and the doc said the they can see him again on Monday if I think that he is worse...they said they could do another fecal screening...so he is home and on my lap as usual. He has become quite attached to me and my kids...thanks for your responses. This board is great, it really helped me last night. I was so worried about him..
