Travel Cage Suggestions.

Bella is going to be coming with me to my sisters this Christmas, and I am looking for a reasonable travel cage for her to stay in. We'll be gone for four days, and I am looking at one of the collapseable cages on ebay and also http://windycityparrot.com (If anyone has done business with them let me know how they are!). I'll be headed up to BP Friday to see if they have anything other than the clear cages in stock.

I bought all my fids collapsible wire travel carriers from a vendor on ebay. they have grates and are made with birds in mind- the tray is locked in place so it doesnt slide around during transport, the door locks securly, and hardware is SS. I paid .01 each, then depending on size, 35-40 for shipping. Highly recommend.

I also have a collapsable cage which I got on e-bay. Can't beat them for the price. You'll end up paying twice as much at a pet store for the same type of cage.

I watch Craigslist. Picked up an extra large metal dog crate which will be perfect for keeping a macaw or two in should we ever travel with them. Cost me $15, and it's very nice quality. All the joins are good, no paint chipping, collapsible, a good pan on the bottom, and sized just right for a 36" manzanita perch or two to fit in width-wise. It's 48" long x 36" wide x I don't know how tall. The perches cost more than the crate!
