Tiffany, if you're serious about wanting Bandit, let me throw out an idea. I live in Daytona Beach and will be driving through Atlanta on my way to northern Georgia on Saturday, December 23. If we can find a way to get Bandit to me (and with all our people in Florida this should be very doable), I'll be glad to bring him to you.

You and/or Lynda can send me a PM if this is something you'd like to pursue.

I would love to have him but with him being wild caught I don't know if I could handle it.

This bird is a lot to handle. Definetly not for some new to parrots ( had a parrot for less then three years) . Though the thought of taking him is sweet, for even the most experinced in parrot handling it should be a very long thought. He is wild and has never been touched by human hands. Reality is he might never be open to being touched and perch training would be a huge accomplishment. My vet seems to think once the beak hardens wild parrots are untameable. We will see.

I have not handled him at all yet. I am giving him time to settle and get used to seeing people so close. I sit by his cage and kiss and pet the other birds. I also talk and sing to him. He sways with an open beak warning me the whole time I am near the cage. Though he is chewing on the toys.

Your such a good person Lynda! Makes me happy to know that so many unwanted birds are being taken care of. I could never handle a wild bird, I would be scared to death.
