More new habits
Grace has discovered how to get Max our Bouv to come to her cage....
She drops food like carrots, peas & grapes on the floor for him... I think that's why Max likes her so much... He tries to give her kisses now, but his tongue is so big he usually knocks her over...

Watch out! Grapes are very bad for dogs. I believe it causes renal failure.

Amazing how many things dogs aren't supposed to eat, nowadays. All I can say is, MAN, I wish I had THEIR stomachs! If I could eat half of what they do without ill effects, I'd be in hog heaven! Wonder why li'l Foxworthy Fuzz can eat his own $hit without having problems, but if he eats a grape or a chocolate chip, it's likely to kill him? LOL!
Buteo, that must be something to see. You should get pix or video for us!

Yes, I know there is such a thing a grape/raisin toxicity. However, the dog has to ingest quite a few in a relatively short period of time for it to reach that level, depending on body weight of the dog.
A few grapes and raisins are Ok, but you do need to watch how many. I'll try to get a shot of it.... but honestly I try not to let it happen too often as I'm a little worried about bacterial transfer. She's really tryin to learn to talk!!! Today I heard her practicing a couple of new ones in her cage.... treety crrrl.... chucha treety crrrl (sweety girl, such a sweety girl) Kai chuv krrrrru (I love you)

Too funny. Doyle loves to throw food at the dogs and they love him for it. I have never seen dogs fight over broccoli the way they do when Doyle drops it, lol. One of my dogs tries to lick Doyle, but he isn't having any of it- he lunges out. But he thinks he is 10 feet tall and will march down the couch to the dogs and try to play with their toys while they are playing with them! This is all carefully supervised of course.

Yes, about once a day I'll hear a different kind of crunching than the Tuki eating pellets sound. I look, and sure enough, Tuki has thrown a few pellets down to see what my dog Bailey will do and he is more than happy for the snack.
The dog doesn't like the fruit or veggies that come out though - WAY too healthy for him!

All the woofmeisters (or the ones that are allowed to be anywhere near the birds at any time) LOVE to go floor-surfing for birdy leftovers. Mostly nuts near the perches, and fruits and veggies near the cages. Never a dull moment around here, but I still have to sweep the blankety-blank floors 4 or 5 x/day!
