flax seeds (linseeds)

Hi everyone,

Am I imagining this, or have I heard that flax seeds (sometimes called linseeds) can affect a bird's hormones? Humphrey LOVES these things, and obviously, I don' t give them often, but they really are a good motivational treat!

Effects in what way? Can you be more specific please? I'm about to order a seed mix that contains hemp seed and would like to know more, specifically how it might effect a female cockatiel.
