Last try.

My budgie and I are struggling I cannot train her she just keeps bitting me. I've used alot of training techniques but, none of them work. I am losing hope that she will stop bitting me and need some help. Are females more aggressive when they are in season? And when do you think she won't be in season. Maybe she is just really stubborn.Thanks.

Scott, Hang in there. It will probably take time and a lot of patience. How are you dealing with it currently? Have you read any specific books on it? I hear that "the beak book" is good, but haven't read it yet. hoping to get it for xmas. I"m sure others will be along ot offer opionions. but the more info you give us, the better.

Scott,
May I ask a few questions? How long have you had your bird? How old is your bird? By hand feeding, how do you mean? Just trying to get more info so I can help you out.

Yes the book sorry. I have had her for 1 year and she is about 1 and a half years old. When I hand feed her I place a treat in my hand and put my hand in the cage she takes to it but, she bites me also. :x :x

Do you take her out of the cage and interact with her that way? They needs lots and lots of one-on-one time to become social with you. Why not leave the cage door open and let her venture out on her own. Maybe sit by her cage and talk to her, or read the paper or a book - just be near her. Sounds to me like she is very territorial in her cage. My quaker is the same way. While he is in the cage he bites us; however, when you take him out of the cage he is a different bird, and will allow us to touch him, and he loves riding around on our shoulder.
