conures Picking

Do conures ever stop picking at tiny bumps on your skin? So tiny you can only feel them, but not see them.

My cockatiels can find things on my body that I can only see under a microscope, I swear. But we won't go there!

umm...generally....no....they are just trying to keep you in tiptop shape. when he/she starts picking. try distracting him. with toys. move in another room etc...

Or wear a wet suit? He doesnt hurt, but every once in a while he finds a tender spot. Is it safe (for us, that is) for them to groom our tiny bumps?

Mom & Dad have a 34 foot Carver Sport fish and guess what, they don't fish. I like to go on the boat trips with them, because they don't take the dogs on the trips. They say the dogs are too big and get in the way, good thing I am small. But, I overheard them talking about getting a bigger boat for the dogs... I am very very worried. I like being the only pet on the boat trips.

That's a lucky bird cruising around on a carver!

My birds haven't had the opportunity to go for a boat ride yet as my 24' Larson is in the middle of an extended refit. Hopefully by the end of this summer we'll be cruising again.

Yea, he's pretty spoiled. We went thru that last year with our boat, it took over 6 months, we were having boat with-drawal big time. Speaking of birds and boats, I am always afraid of him ending up in the water. Can they swim?

Rigel seems to find the same spot to nip on my neckline every time, and after awhile it hurts quite a bit. I worry about it for his health, if he's finding a pimple or if his pecking makes the spot infected (hasn't happened yet).
